HOUSTON OPEN HONORS HEROES

HOUSTON (March 8, 2018) – Houston Golf Association announces that active duty military members, along with first responders, will receive free admission and hospitality at the Houston Open, March 29-April 1, 2018 at Golf Club of Houston.

The Gallery Furniture Heroes Outpost, presented by SERVPRO, will open during the PGA TOUR competition days and provide complimentary food and beverages during the lunch hour for credentialed military, along with various public law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and other emergency services agencies serving the greater Houston area. Located on hole 16, the tournament venue has views of the popular par three 16 tee.

In the 71-year existence of the Houston Golf Association, the not-for-profit 501c(3) organization has hosted the Houston Open to support a wide range of charities. As the city of Houston continues to face the challenges of post-Hurricane Harvey recovery, Houston Golf Association is using the tournament to honor the city’s heroes and show the world the strength and vibrancy of Houston.

Thanks in part to support from Gallery Furniture and SERVPRO, active duty military members and first responders can attend the Houston Open for free. Credentialed military and first responders are invited to register for their voucher on www.houstonopen.org and present it to the tournament box office.
